It's a yes and no answer I am afraid. It's not actually a new terminal it is just further along in the old terminal in a new section and they have also changed the ramp road leading up the terminal so at the top of the ramp you now pull up outside where the BA desks are.

Some things are slightly better in that the security check after immigration means there is no longer a baggage check at the gate like there used to be, so that effectively makes it similar to flying out of say T4 in that respect.

The fast track queue for immigration worked really well last Sunday night and
I was through that part in less than 2 minutes (and there was a HUGE queue for non-fast track pax) but I then had to wait about ten minutes to get through security as there is no fast track for that. Also, like I said in my other post it is a very long walk from the check in desks to immigration.

The lounge is awful but hopefully when they get the new lounge up and running opposite their preferred gates, things will greatly improve.
