Thanks for the replies - TA won't budge and insists it will be fine. If he [my friend] doesn't get on, then he will dispute the charge but I don't think he can before. To be honest, I personally don't think it will be too much of a problem - I have flown with all sorts of misspellings, my name backwards, too many letters, too few letters etc (also from this same incompetent TA ironically enough!) and have never had a problem. I just wanted some expert opinion first.
