We call ourselves stewardesses at work to mock those that take the term so seriously...geez, just jokingly, thats all. I say it so much that I often do not think that when I use it around non-airline people it would even be noticeable, but apparently I thought wrong.
Anyways this is NOT a "wind up " thread. I am very much curious.
