I booked our flights, but after spending more nearly three hours trying to get our eTicket credits I ended up having to call the SMS desk. I could get the ecredit for my ticket, but not for my husband's ticket.

I think that the problem is that when we originally got our Skymiles account my husband just used the initials of his first and middle name because his name is long and cumbersome and he does not like it. Somehow DL now knows what his legal name is. The eTicket was made, as I make all reservations, under his initials, because that is the name on his skymiles account. Somehow I could not get his eTicket credit to come up under his legal name, and I could not change his legal name to his initials. I called tech support and they were not able to get it to work either. His legal name just kept popping up. Tech support thought it might have something to do with tickets needing to be in the same name as the passport.

This is the odd thing. When I finally called the SMS desk she first offered to connect me with tech support again. Then she said she could make my reservations. I told her I had been working all evening and I just wanted to do what was the quickest method. She said "That would be me." So she made all of my reservations just as I had selected them. She even got my seat numbers. As nearly as I can tell she did not charge me for making the reservations, and unlike the online reservations, which subtracted $100 from my total eticket, she only subtracted $75.

I have never had a transaction that was done any better, and in addition to being efficient she was very pleasant.

I wished I would have been able to make the reservations online because I hate not being to do everything everyone else does online, but it worked out better for us this time by using the SMS desk.
