UIO is not exactly a hotspot from non-hubs. I checked on EF, and don't see a direct PHX-UIO flight. Normally LAX, NYC, ATL, IAH and MIA would be the likely suspects.

2stepsbehind meant, why not fly from AZ to Ecuador instead of coming back to DC. Obviously there would be a stop somewhere, but it might open up some options.
