The SWISS e-ticket / itinerary is explicit, as it shows the fare for every leg. On the document I was issued, it says:

BANGKOK TO SYDNEY (SYD) FLIGHT TG993
19 JUNE 18:15 06:15+ ECONOMY OK
Fare basis: BICSWIFR


I don't know how much more explicit it needs to get. If it wasn't for getting the Amadeus code (by accident), I wouldn't even have been able to use checkmytrip, as SWISS' PNRs aren't recognised by Amadeus.

No news yet on getting it fixed, but I'll be one extremely grumpy traveller if they start arguing with me about it.
