The worst thing I ever experienced was a flight on the Alyemda Democratic Airlines of Yemen . The cabin crew (or random Asian/African chicks with no experience dressed in frumpy outfits) were cooking the food in the departure lounge as pax waited to board what was probably a Boeing 727 or possibly Tu-154 (I was 5 and FlyerTalk hadn't been invented yet). That flight remains my most bizarre experience to date.
