Stay at the CY in the marina. You'll be glad you did. One downside to the Marina Del Rey location, noise. Close to PCH and 90 freeways, no freeway noise just a lot of cars.
I'm assuming you're just making the comments re: a Marriott property near LAX, since the Marina CY would not meet the OP's requirements given his office is in Carson.

Also the reason the Marina CY is close to dinner, movies, etc, is that it's in the middle of a mall Having said that, it's usually less $$ than the Marina Marriott.

MB Marriott if you're on the south side has views of the golf course it's next to.
