I've been offered a black AX twice and have ignored each offer - and my spend is approximating an order of magnitude less than the above example.

I did enjoy the Westpac Amex card (unsolicited) tied to my Westpac Visa Altitiude account. 4 points per dollar (equ to 2 QF FF points per dollar) during the honeymoon period (which expired end May 08). Now back to equ to 1 QF FF point per dollar. This is the same as my green Amex - which does quite nicely - thanyou very much. The best thing about green Amex is the direct access to my bank savings account from any ATM that accepts Amex cards - at AUD1.25 fee.

I also like the Amex approach to dispute resolution. Better than Westpac's by a country mile.
