I hope someone will post a printout of what agents will read when we direct them to a help screen that tells them to issue travel credits in lieu of free tix at the option of the customer.

At DEN I was told by a supervisor that while the "preferred" compensation is the free ticket voucher, the passenger, not the agent, has the option of the travel credit at the established dollars to delay ratio.

Both a seemingly savvy gate agent and RCC rep said they did not know of any such policy and strictly issued free tickets.

Elsewhere around here a FTer said he would decline the free ticket and write to Customer Relations for a travel credit if the gate was stuck on the ticket as compensation.
