I am wondering why Nairobi is so undeserved by *A.... currently the only route is ZRH-NBO or SAA via JNB. So flying there from the US west coast can be a scheduling challenge. I am wondering if BMI or LH might have any plans to serve NBO from either London or Frankfurt?

NBO is planning for direct flights from the U.S. as part of their expansion/remodel of the airport. I don't know if they have any takers, though. Getting there via ZRH isn't bad, lots of FTers have done that one and the connection is not as tight as it looks (ZRH is a wonderfully efficient airport).
Via JNB is a schlep but lots of miles. I've never been able to get it to price out at a decent fare, though, and SAA awards partial miles on discount fares.
