Now a lifetime Gold is exciting. I believe Qantas have a similar setup. it does occur to me that when I retire in ten or so years time after ( I expect) about 15 years as a Gold it would not be unreasonable for BA to thank me with a lifetime Gold (or even a lifetime silver) to enjoy in retirement.

i expect the response to that suggestion will be "dream on"
