This could all be rumors. But in this AA forum thread you can read about some of the changes AA is supposedly making:

1. lowest fares are no longer upgradable.
2. capacity controls

We will see if this is fact or fiction, no? But it wouldn't surprise me. What would surprise me is if AA didn't follow UA's lead here -- that wouldn't make any sense.

Also: a funny thing on the AA board right now: a thread about how Emeralds only get 1 drink coupon at the Admiral's Club. There is a thread here on United about one coupon at the RCC for people traveling business class.
