How about AC for YVR-ORD?

ICN-NRT and NRT-HNL are both codeshare United flights, and so is the YVR-ORD for AC. All operated by United. Well, who knows, by August, these routes might not exist anymore or be operated by the respective Star Alliance partners...
What would actually happen if United ceased its operations, but I am booked on their flights, AND there is no Star Alliance partner that serves that route? If I have a paid Star Alliance RTW ticket, wouldn't they have to somehow ensure that I get to the specific destination? For instance, let's say United goes out of business and there are no Star Alliance flights at all from ORD to GRU, but I am booked on one as part of a RTW ticket. What would happen?
