While I understand the frustration that it's one less feature, I prefer the service consistency and knowing what I can expect. I gave up on empower a long time ago since I kept getting burned, expecting it to work and it not. I did have one LHR/SFO flight where the entire electric system in the C seat didn't work (no entertainment, no power, nada). I was not happy. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that UAL is putting all their resources and effort into getting the new configurations online and making tough decisions to stop putting resources into old config's amenities.
