I wonder what percentage of us have the means (time, money, freedom) and wherewithal to see the WHOLE world. Not just going somewhere and checking it off on a list, but really taking the time to get a sense of a place - discovering its rhythms and vibe, connecting with people and their culture, and ultimately learning more about ourselves and others and the world we live in.

Even if we limit it to FT'ers - this group of people that already has a bent towards travel (flying, no less) - take away those of us who travel strictly for business, and the two-week vacationers, and the mileage runners, are we talking maybe just a handful who can pull it off?
