Aside from my personal thoughts about BB, guess the question is "what are the benefits?". In order to see the benefits, you have to log into your account, and I was informed:
"Congratulations on achieving Reward Zone® program Premier Silver status!".
Premier Silver offers a new level of recognition for our most valued members — including more services, experiences and rewards.
Here's the published list of benefits:
Qualify for Premier Silver status when you spend $2,500 on eligible purchases at Best Buy or BestBuy.com in a calendar year. As a Premier Silver member, you'll enjoy all the benefits of regular membership, plus:
* 25% point bonus
* 50% point bonus if you are a Reward Zone program MasterCard cardmember
* Point banking
* Access to the Awards Catalog for unique products and services
* Extended return policy
* Free standard shipping at BestBuy.com
* Dedicated Premier Silver Customer Service Line.
* Complimentary Geek Squad home theater consultation once per year
* Complimentary 6-month trial of Geek Squad Online Data Backup service
I don't have a $2500 spend, yet I'm Silver. The banked bonuses are free, and if you're a RZ MC owner, there's more bonus points. Points banking is nice, given how quickly the current awards expire. Would be curious what the first-hand experience is for "Dedicated Customer Service Line", when someone uses it.
Starbucks, then Best Buy. What's next? Plat Elite Status at Denny's?
