Unlike Ft Lauderdale or Key West with widely-scattered gay B & B's throughout the area, South Beach is a more urban zone, and like most urban areas, just about all accomodations are gay friendly. The only bed and breakfast that you're going to run across is some place with "European" in the name. I've never seen it, not to mention stayed there, but everything I've heard about it has been extremely negative.

I'd go to a list of mainstream hotels and, with map in hand, select a hotel in the Lincoln Road - Ocean Drive area. From there, the best gay bars, restaurants and beaches are easily walkable. Traffic is horrible in South Beach and parking rates are outrageous. Locals and savvy tourists know that the best way to get around South Beach is to take one of the little shuttle busses which circle SoBe all day long and well into the night. For 25¢ you see everybody from club kids to those in their party best. It's the best free show in town. Cabs, of course, are a pricier and less entertaining alternative, but, again, driving is the pits.
