If you split the earnings into multiple airlines, you will have to earn status individually on each
Thanks. I found the FAQ on the *Alliance website which answered most of my questions. I do have a question though, the *Alliance site says anybody with Gold is allowed in any lounge that is *Alliance. I was looking at US Air (I will probably be using them quite a bit now) and it seems even if you are Gold, you have to purchase lounge access. Is that true?

So if I get a Visa signature US Air card and get Gold status on US Air, I have to pay for lounge access?? (Cf. http://www.usairways.com/awa/content...mberships.aspx and https://www.usairways.com/awa/clubs/enrollmentform.aspx)

It says 315$ for Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Charimans...
