Are you sure about this? All the time? I'm guessing maybe on the list generated by the kiosk...however, when I've volunteered in the boarding area, they usually write "vol 1" etc on the boarding passes. It certainly appears that they take them in the order received. I've also been 5th or 6th in line and asked if they still needed volunteers. Usually they say "probably not, but why don't I take your boarding pass just in case"...they've never looked at it and said, "you're MVPG...we'll take you ahead of some of these other pax".
