This is my first post.

I have been flying on Q,V or W fares from SFO to Asia for the last 4 years. Up until last month, the minimum stay requirement was a saturday night stay or infrequently, a 3 day stay. Now it is a 6 day minimum.

I have been trying to rationalize this change in the restriction. Originally, I had thought that UA would like to prevent business flyers from taking advantage of leisure fares by imposing a long minimum stay. However, my logic fails when one considers that leisure fares to Europe only require a saturday night stay.

I would be interested to hear thoughts on the rationale for 6 day minimum stays on leisure fares to Asia.
