Based on what has been quoted above, if it is true, then work is being done on a feasibility study. Lots of work is done in companies the size of BA on proposals that are never implemented, and anything as significant as this would be signed off by the board.

Though I could quite understand why this would be causing a lot of upset. Given the countless PR debacles and the battering of its reputation over the past few years I do wonder why an earth BA would be contemplating something that would inevitably result in a bloody confrontation with the unions. You would have thought that BA would want to keep its head down for a while.

Also, trying to reduce the T&Cs of cabin crew, will probably result in a very adverse reaction from a lot of passengers. BA should have surely learnt its lesson from the way it was portrayed as a bullying employer during the 1997 cabin crew strike.
