Well I've just heard about this and it's very worrying news indeed. I pray that it doesn't come to fruition. As for possible action by the crew, I don't think "possible" is the word, "definite" I think is more the one you're looking for if this is true.

Yes, some of the longer term crew may be on better T&C's than their junior counterparts, but please be fair - on the whole they've worked long and hard over the years and are now being rewarded for their loyalty.

And before you favour outsourcing - look what's happened when that's been done with ground staff overseas or in the regions of the UK.
