I pulled the L6C rate in several different states and it looks like it is a "local companies" rate. Didn't see any restrictions on it as far as ID's go so I do not know what type of trouble you would encounter upon check-in.
Agreed - L6C is a "local companies" / "local corporate" rate which means different things to different properties. At some DC properties, for example, it's a "local museums corporate rate" and at others it's a "local corporate rate". Don't know how/if that's related to rate described by OP in the first post, seems weird.
