I've never stayed in the west wing, but passed through (there is a "secret passageway" from the mansion gaming area to las vegas blvd exit, bypassing the slots and racebook area) and looked into the rooms while they were being cleaned--not too impressive.
Unless you are single, you wouldn't want to stay in the West Wing. But the hallways on floors 4 through 8 go all they way from the Grand Tower elevators to the LV Blvd elevators, a distance of about 1/4 mile, useful if you need to get from A to B without traversing the casino. You can drag race those little mobility scooters, their E.T. is about 90 seconds....
