re: the visa application:

do we really need to submit a letter from your employer showing you have the vacation days off (tourist visa obviously) and send in a bank statement showing you have at least $500 in your account?

im contemplating a visa service company, and they're telling me i need these two items, however the chinese embassy website says no such thing in the list of items required for submission.

any help is greatly appreciated.
