This used to happen to me three years or so ago when the gas differential was less of a big deal than it is now--I'd get into SEA late and wind up with a TrailBlazer instead of the compact I'd asked for. Then, I didn't have a problem with it; now, I'd probably make more of an effort not to get the SUV.

When relocating recently and flying back to BNA to empty out my house, it was nice to be able to get an SUV for cheap when we needed it, though.
