Hi guys!

I just flew through FRA and wanted to visit the Red Carpet Club before connecting with Lufthansa.

As I have no status with UAL, I needed to buy 2 passes (2 ppl). At home. I checked the United webpage and understood that the first person is $50 and the second is $25. Also, that you can redeem 7,000 miles for a pass. It says that this can be done at any Red Carpet Club worldwide.

When I got to the lounge, I was told that I needed to pay $50 for all persons (1st and 2nd) and that I could not redeem any miles for my pass. I was told that these policies only apply to Clubs in the United States.

Is this true or did I get a dumb agent?
