We must not forget that Cabin Crew are not just there to ply us with drink and food but are well trained in First Aid as this situation has shown.

In my last job it was compulsory for us to be sent on refresher First Aid courses every couple of years run by St John Ambulance and I for one found it very comforting to have the knowledge of what to do in an emergency,thankfully I have never had the need to use it.
