We carry AED (deifib's) on all our aircraft...many shorthaul and Low cost do not carry anthing other than basic first aid.
We also carry a full medical kit (The M5 as it's called) which you may recognise as a big black briefcase similar to a traditional doctors briefcase.
This has ALOT of drugs in it for intra-veinous (sp?) use and oral. A full birthing kit and restricted items normally locked in to trolley in hospitals.
Not going into specifics for obv reasons. All the dugs are designed so we could give one of everything to someone and none will react with the other.
We also have many of the smaller green first aid kits which you may have seen in the galley at times...paracetemol/bandages/plasters etc etc...

Like I said the only legal requirement is this basic first aid kit and I can tell you that RYR/EZY have the basics...even Titan don't invest in the major stuff.
THe view from them is that we op shorthaul so can put down quickly...hmmm this proves otherwise...god help you if you have a heart attack!

We were told on our New entrant course with BA that the best place to have a heart attack (if there's such a thing) is In Las Vegas (due to the amount of CCTV you will defo be seen instantly) and Seattle where new drivers must learn to operate roadside AED's as part of your driving test!

My useless info for the day! ;-)
