I will be interested to see if SQ denies entrance to passengers travelling on other carriers. Before they closed to the lounge in PVG, I was denied on an Asiana C ticket as a Star Gold member... I should've had access on two points, but they told me no.
Wrote them later and they claimed the lounge was full (however it was not). Does the Star Alliance itself have a customer service department? Seems like SQ can hardly be expected to police itself.
