No, Flybe didn't lay on anything, just had to catch the regular bus.... and since BMI and BA have abandoned INV to Easyjet and FLYMAYBE (who are having as many tech. issues with the EMB's as the Nimrods at Kinloss) It has been pretty shabby....
Tho I suppose one positive will mean that even less people will want to visit the area and I will be able to enjoy a quiet drop of malt in Findhorn....

Well, they do have to prove that the circumstances were unexpected or unforeseen. If they are having regular tech issues with the planes, I'm not sure they can say that. If you want to go down the EU route (since you arrived 4 hours late, you are covered), then you'd have to ask the airline exactly what was the nature of the cancellation, and what provision they had made to ensure that such things would not cause cancellations and take it from there. There's a lot of good advice on this board about this - while I hesitate to say 'do a search', you might find a search would be beneficial
