If you're not wedded to Starwood properties, why not take the interisland flight to Taveuni, stay at the Maravu Plantation Resort or the Garden Island Resort, and dive the Somosomo Strait and the world famous Rainbow Reef and Great White Wall? Or, if shark diving is your thing, dive Beqa Lagoon?
It seems that if your are into diving and are willing to fly halfway around the world for it, you should decide where to stay not on the basis of where Starwood decides to build a resort, but rather where the diving is best.
