I'm tired just reading your "suggested" itinerary, yyzprincess! (Well, plus I was out at a German wine dinner last night...)

I think I'm just going to take the first day easy wandering around St. Germain and that area checking out food shops and boutiques, and save my "culture" for your tour on Saturday. All the other museums will have to be done on a longer, more thoroughly researched trip.

Have you heard of a bistro called Cinq Mars on rue de Verneuil, apparently near the Musee d' Orsay? Have read good things about it, and it sounds like it could be a good location for a meal on Saturday.
