I've gotten to fly in upper deck business class on a 747 twice. By far, it's my absolute favorite area of any plane. Since you're separated by an entire level, there is very little traffic up and down the aisle, and you tend to get a sense of personalized service that just doesn't exist on any US carrier anymore. You would think that UA would configure the upper deck as first class, but I guess the F seat "pods" wouldn't fit well. All the better for C travelers.

As for BULKHEAD business class seats... For some reason, United seems to put only about as much space between your seat and the bulkhead as they do for coach seats! Someone forgot to tell them that your feet need to go somewhere, and of course if you're in a non-bulkhead row, they can stretch out under the seat in front of you.
