You're already at 42,800. You probably got at least another 20,000 miles (probably more) with Elite bonuses coming at the end of the year. That takes you to 62,800. So all you need with AC is another 12,200 ie. one good MR on a *alliance carrier and Bingo, you are a SE.
The SE cutoff is 100k, not 75k. That said, OP may still end up within striking distance of SE, depending on where they are based, and the details of the Asian travel plans. Two round-trips from YYZ to SIN will net about 40k miles, bringing the total over 80k. Going to Asia via SFO or LAX on a *A partner could add another 5k (total 85k). Maybe OP also does a little bit of other travel this year, let's say 5k to 10k (total 90k to 95k). The last 5k to 10k could be worth a mileage run.
