Well, I certainly wouldn't look any gift horses in the mouth. Whatever enhancements are made to the MR program would only make me that much happier with Marriott. Things like the free membership in Clear are great, and the "Redeem for Anything" could be if they weren't so incompetently run.

That being said, Marriott isn't going to get a penny more from me by offering ANY of the ideas mentioned so far. Marriott is far and away my first choice for lodging as it currently stands. I am, for the most part, a wildly satisfied customer who keeps coming back for the:

a) Consistently delivered product from location to location
b) Excellent customer service
c) Clean, safe, comfortable rooms wherever I go
d) Ability to stay in a Marriott hotel almost anywhere I need to travel
e) Nice perks of being a rewarded loyal guest.

Any additional benefits they give are going to either come at the expense of current benefits, or through increased room rates. Could they give me the Presidential Suite for free every time I want it? Yes, and I'd be really happy. But if they just give me the room I paid for and all the other things I mentioned above, them I'm already really happy and the MR benefits are just icing on the cake.
