Have you seen the rise in room rates this past year alone? Tell me what has Marriott done with that additional revenue? Certainly not invest it in marketing.
I don't think what I purposed is way off base.
I'm sick of having to chase after my 500 amenity points after my stay. The Guarantee wouldn't cost Marriott a dime if they did what they promise to do in the first place.
5% extra bonus is very reasonable, considering rates have gone up higher than that!
An annual suite upgrade? The old saying goes... if the room is gonna sit empty anyways might as-well give it away.
Breakfast... well the spread is out, might as well not let the food go to waste
