Keep your domain. Move your email to google apps (and keep yourname@yourdomain email address.) In fact, you could just let google apps manage everything for you including the domain name itself.
My small ISP moved all its email to google apps. Same email address, different servers. Choice of pop, imap (both secure) with secure connection for smtp and you can still use the web interface.
This is getting too complicated.
Yes, I have my own domain and an e-mail address associated with that domain. They work properly.
I also have another email address that I've had for dogs years that is hosted by an ISP. I do not own that domain.
A couple of days ago I destroyed my primary computer and bought a new one. I've been rebuilding my filesystem since then.
Since that time, it
appears that even after I quit Thunderbird, my mail is still being read (for my original email address). I want to find and resolve that issue, not work around it.
