No one has ever asked me to take anything on the plane, but 2 days ago, I was going from ORD-MSP on an ERJ, and a passenger had 3 items. GA told him that he would have to check one. I overheard him huff, and complain, and make a small scene. After a considerable time, I watched as he stuffed one of his items in his bag, thus making it too large to fit either under seat, or in overhead. GA somehow let him on the flight. Of course, my luck he's sitting next to me. He gets on, takes item 3 back out of his bag, puts his large bag, and 2nd bag overhead, then complains to FA that there is no room for his (Large) laptop overhead! I just started laughing! FA did not see him put 2 bags overhead, so she starts to look around. She then asks who's bags are these, they'll have to go under your seat... I wanted (and probably should have) spoke up, but it was obvious that there was going to be a scene if I did, and while it may have been a personal victory for me vs a schlub like him, it wouldn't have done much otherwise . Eventually one other pax in the row across put his bag under his seat...When the 15 bucks hits, I'm guessing that will be the norm. Wonder how many delayed flights were going to see because of pax and no bags.

BTW anyone know if you get on last (running from a delayed cnxn for example), and have to check your roll-aboard because there is no room, will you then have to pay 15 bucks as well?

Gate lice line will be extra long if that's the case!
