It looks like this problem has still not been solved?

I just tried to generate the YOW-YYZ-YVR one way trip price through the multicity option (when the connecting flights of the displayed direct YOW-YVR option using YYZ as a connecting airport were not by preferred options) - the web site still adds the fare of the 2 legal connecting segments (ie YOW-YYZ and YYZ-YVR).
