Well there aren't really any restaurants (other than in the hotels) in the immediate neighborhood around the IC MH.
For restaurants that are "gay-ish" they're mostly in the Castro area (probably best to take a cab from the IC MH.
Some suggestions:
Sumi in the Castro -
http://www.suminthecastro.com/ - small intimate restaurant but they'll take reservations for 10-12 (I had a SF FT dinner there once) - very good food (fusion oriented) - reasonably priced.
Mecca -
http://www.sfmecca.com/ - larger with a feel combination of restaurant/nightclub (menu is more "American") - a bit more expensive.
2223 Market -
http://www.2223restaurant.com/ - atmosphere is somewhere in between Sumi & Mecca (menu is also "American") busy but not really a nightclub feel.
Catch -
http://www.catchsf.com/ - the "main" dinner at the SF Gayla in Feb was held here - very nice seafood - reasonably priced.
