I'd like to use TransitCheks (the debit or credit cards that people in NYC at least get as pre-tax payment from their employers; transitcenter.org) to pay for an upcoming Acela Express trip from NYC to Boston. I recall seeing a few years ago that TransitCheks could be used for certain Amtrak routes around NYC, but the information is gone from the TransitChek website.

Has anyone figured out how to do this- particularly for a $84 Acela Express trip that would require using two $50 TransitCheck debit/credit cards for one transaction?
