I used it on my last trip because I arrived at Keisei Ueno at an awkward time between Skyliners (the express train to Narita), and I saw that the commuter choo-choo that was leaving in five minutes would arrive at NRT well before the next Skyliner, which didn't leave for another hour. Well, Keisei Ueno isn't exactly a wonderland of things for the waiting traveler to do, and I wanted to have time for one last leisurely Japanese meal before my flight, so I took the slower and cheaper option.

It was a typical commuter train with seats along the side, but it wasn't crowded, the day was bright and sunny, and I enjoyed watching the city fade away into the mini-farms of exurbia.
