From my memory, even before the introduction on Sleeper Service across the BA network (pre 2004) the DXB-LHR service on BA106 is always something light as the first meal and then a hot breakfast. Back then I remember there is a small fish/veg appetizer and then a casear salad.

I find if you order a seasfood meal you get slightly better meals (if you like seafood) on this flight.
