2-3 weeks? Depends on how many friends you have in HKG. It's easy to go 2-3 days without sleep. ;-) But if it's without the partying, that might still be a bit long. From my experience, it's the people who have lived there or have a lot of friends/family that can take the 1 month trips.
All too true - having lived in HK, and with in-laws there, whenever we're there for a visit (usually around 2 weeks), we pretty much cram our schedule full visiting friends and spending time with relatives.
