Hi, Dorlee.

The Pan Pacific is a perfect choice as it is adjacent to the cruise docks. It is also a nice hotel with a lovely staff and beautiful views of Vancouver and the water.

It takes about 20-25 minutes to get from the airport to the hotel. Taxis make me crazy so we always take a shuttle bus which stops right in front of the Pan Pacific. The driver will deal with your luggage. The hotel is also very close to dowtown, and a pleasant walk to the stores if you want to buy anything before you board the ship. There is also a liquor store a block or so away, where we always go to buy wine for our cabin.

Be aware that you will go through customs before you board the ship so the lines can be very long and tedious.

Enjoy Alaska. I hope you have beautiful, clear weather to enjoy the glaciers.
