AF on the return has improved massively since they re-opened Terminal 2E at CDG. It involves a bus to transfer between terminals when arriving from BCN, doesn't take too long though. Pretty good AF lounges that you can access as CO plat.
It also is possible to walk from the Schengen part of 2F to 2E - it takes about 15 minutes, plus security reclearance and passport control (there is an elite security line). It is less hassle to walk than to take the bus, IMO.
