Sorry if this has been reported. I checked in at BWI on Saturday late afternoon for my flight to SMF. I received three boarding passes. BWI to DEN to SMF and one for my return to BWI via DEN. Therefore the later was SMF to DEN the next morning. I asked if this was ok. Reply was yes and two HKs pulled. I was hopeful. When I checked in at SMF yesterday I needed to get my DEN to BWI. Everything seemed to go ok but the agent was typing away. I know this is not a good sign. So I checked my account via phone and sure enough he had pulled another HK from my account. Now I was out 3 HKs instead of 2 for the RT. I called MP and spoke with someone who could do NOTHING but understood my frustration. I considered walk back out of the secured area but my flight was boarding in a few minutes. I asked a competent gate agent who I know and she was able to do something. She confirmed that I still had a certain number of HKs remaining. So when UA tries to give you your boarding passes for the next days flights watch the HK count in your MP account. FYI
