Attention Marriott aficionados!

Update, 6/12/08: So sorry! The deal appears to be dead already in Ann Arbor and DTW areas. It is still active for a $59 rate at a full service Marriott that is going to be about 1 hour drive away. Marriott apparently acted directly to change the rate after I booked it.
Additional update: you can still get a $60 rate at the airport marriott - it is just not coupon eligible, so no further discounts.


Marriott family Hotels in Detroit and Ann Arbor areas are available for about $60 per night (less if you have Marriott coupons and are staying 2 nights or more) for our Do weekend - I have a reservation at 2 properties for such a rate already.

I don't know how long this will be available, and I am not posting the details online for fear that the opportunity will disappear for others. If you are a Marriott regular, you may be able to figure out how to book these rates on your own - it is not too difficult to find.

If you have already registered for the Ann Arbor Do and you need help finding these rates I'll send you info on how to book them this evening. Please let me know what nights you need and whether you prefer a hotel near Ann Arbor, near DTW, or other part of the Detroit metro area.

Update Note: Looks like the $60 rate may not be available at the property closest to Ann Arbor. You can book the Fairfield Inn Ann Arbor at $80 / night AAA, however, AAA rates are usually not compatible with Marriott coupons. Other properties are still available at the lower rates, as far as I know.
